Become a Board Member

The Friends of Pleasant Prairie Parks Foundation is looking for members of the community to join our board of directors to help us enhance the park experience in Pleasant Prairie.

About Us
The Friends of Pleasant Prairie Parks Foundation (FPPPF) is a nonprofit organization established to support and enhance the park experience for all park patrons through fund development, strategic partnerships, and community engagement. This is accomplished through a well-defined strategic plan that is reviewed and updated annually.    

About Being a Board Member
Board members are volunteers who serve in a leadership position to help the FPPPF advance its mission. Board members bring their passion for parks and outdoor spaces to the FPPPF so we can all work together to ensure everyone has a great park experience in Pleasant Prairie.

The board currently meets every other month and committees meet in the other months. The approximate time commitment for a board member is 1-2 hours per month.

Board members serve a three-year term.

Board Member Details
Board members are 18 years old or older and are either:
•  residents of Pleasant Prairie,
•  employees of a business within Pleasant Prairie, and/or
• employees of a business that is a sponsor of the FPPPF. 

People of all backgrounds and skillsets are welcome to apply. Experience serving on a nonprofit board is a plus. Some of the professional skillsets of particular need include:
• accounting
•  legal (an attorney)
• philanthropy (fundraising/major gifts)

The FPPPF welcomes individuals regardless of race, ethnicity, or gender.
